PITTSBURGH- You might have an ongoing Duolingo streak, or maybe you’re familiar with the green owl, but did you know that Duolingo holds a conference every year called Duocon?
Since 2019, this conference is a hub for users to share their love for languages. This year, thousands of Duolingo members were virtually present to learn more about major updates coming to the platform.
Here are some highlights that could impact the way you use Duolingo:
One, Duolingo is partnering with Linkedin so users can add their daily streak to their profile. This
will be available under the “Languages” tab.
Second, Duolingo will be expanding their popular chess course, which is now available on
Android in multiple languages. The platform is evolving from a language learning one to a full-on
educational platform. They’ll also be adding a “PVP mode” for this course that will allow users to test their chess
knowledge against each other in real time.
Third, Duolingo is among one of the many platforms stepping into the world of AI, and with their
improved AI-video call feature, users can get real-time feedback on their pronunciation and
conservation skills.
This includes more personalized interactions with many of the popular AI characters, such as
the fan-favorite, Lily, the mascot Duo, and many more.
This will be available for nine of the most popular courses with the DuoLingo Max membership.
